Customsformalities

All manner of customs documents are required when it comes to transporting goods. Carib Intertrans possesses the expert knowledge to take care of all customs and shipping documents on your behalf. All we need is an authorisation from you, a copy of your passport and a completed reservation form. You can fill this in at our office and we will then take it with us when we pick up your goods, or send these documents digitally. We then prepare the documents required for the smooth transportation of your goods.

For every shipment there is a small chance that the container carrying the goods will be selected for a scan check. The costs incurred by this are at the expense of the party having the goods shipped. (Also see the General Terms and Conditions). For groupage shipments, the total cost is spread out over the participating customers, based on the volume of goods. Except for in Rotterdam, shipments must also pass through customs upon the offloading of the goods at their destination.
